Gas Gas and GRO reinforce their union to develop new high-performance lubricants

Technicians from both companies will collaborate on a new range of next generation products.

Gas Gas and the lubricants firm Global Racing Oil (GRO) have decided to strengthen his cooperation in working from a decade to develop a new range of next-generation lubricants designed specifically for the motorcycle world.

After having already co-developed the GRO existing products, the goal is to take a step further and adopt the latest technology in oil for high performance engines. In addition, it also seeks to apply new advances in creating a complete new family of lubricants for racing.

Installed in a modern plant in Sant Andreu de la Barca (Barcelona), GRO has extensive experience that dates back nearly a century, when society was founded. In 1956 the company became its current corporate parent, Cogelsa (Compañía General de Lubricantes, SA). Gas Gas believes that the group led by Javier Brugarolas is a major partner both in the process of improving the current models as in the development of new projects.

Alex Llobet, head of Marketing and Competition of Gas Gas, and Miguel Angel Marti, head coach of the racing team, sealed this new stage that links the two companies visiting the Cogelsa plant. They had the opportunity to learn the process of research and development of GRO accompanied by Josep Maria Bassols, Cogelsa technical director, who will oversee with Martí the new range that will be born of a collaboration between the two firms.
