After six months of parentheses, the Spanish Trial Championship (CET) returned on Sunday to activity in Peñarroya and Pueblonuevo, in the province of Cordoba. The race followed a similar pattern to that experienced in the first three events of the season, when some extra-sporting decisions tagged much of the results. This time the race was influenced by the remarkable ease of the sections, which made it very difficult to recover positions in case of error, and by an assessment of the breakage of a tape that led Adam Raga to lose the chance of victory and podium.

The Gas Gas rider started well from the early sections of Trial, struggling with Toni Bou and Albert Cabestany in front of the classification. A Bou's penalty left alone Adam and 'Cabes' at the end of the first passage through the sections, totaling 255 points each, but the bonuses were in favor of Cabestany. This trend continued until the middle of the second lap, when a boundary tape broken led the zone judge to consider that Adam deserved to be penalized, which not only away him from the victory but also of the places of podium.

Pol Tarres was seventh ahead of other Gas Gas riders as Pere Borrellas, Jorge Casales, Ivan Peydro and Carles Traviesa. "I'm not happy with the result, but I'm satisfied with our performance, with our riding and the level shown. Until the penalty everything went very well and were close to victory. I'm not at all agree with the zone judge's decision, first because I was penalized after someone of the public has told that there was a broken tape, but he not saw if I had broken it or not, and then because the regulation specifies that in case of doubt the aggrieved can't be the pilot. Honestly, I'm sure it hasn't broken by my fault and it was in bad shape. It Isn't normal a decision like this made me pass to win the race to fourth, because in a easy Trial couldn't recover. Anyway, it's better that it happened in the Spanish championship, because as had been the first races, the options to get the title was too complicated".
