The Girona's rider keeps linked to the brand for the
Enduro 3 EWC and the Spanish Championship.
The Gas Gas Enduro Team and Jordi Figueras
have decided this december to extend their
contractual compromise for 2012. With this
agreement, next season will be the fourth year
working side by side in both national and
international competition.
Born in 1982 in La Bisbal d'Empordà (Girona),
Jordi will perform again in the Enduro 3 category
in which he already took part in 2009 and 2011,
this time with the new EC 300. Among its goals is
to fight for the Spanish and World Championship,
aswell as taking part in some of the most classic
races of the Spanish and European calendar.
After his 18 year old debut in the motocross, his
late contact with the motocycle world hasn’t been
an obstacle to be among the best riders of this
speciality. It was short before five years from now
that he decided to make a leap to the Enduro and
in 2009 he joined the Gas Gas riders.
After some unfortunate injuries that kept him away
from competition during his first season dressing
in red, his progression during 2010 and 2011 has
turned him into a basic figure within the team’s
structure aswell as in its most long-standing
member together with the two time Women’s
World Champion Ludivine Puy.
The Gas Gas General Manager, Ramon Puente,
and its Competition Manager, Santi Navarro,
joined Figueras in the signing of the new contract
in the make’s headquarters in Salt.
