Due to some complications in the development test final phase last
September, we opted to modify some especifications in the motorbike and
postpone its launching.
After several months of intense work, we finally have the opportunity at
Gas Gas to inform you of the imminent entry in our assembly line in Salt of
the new 125, 250 and 300 cc EC models for the 2012 season. These last
weeks have been of crucial relevance for the company, we have
overcome some of the most difficult periods in our recent times, but this
has allowed us to verify once again the reliability of our customers,
distributors and suppliers when having to deal with a project that, keeping
faithful to the Gas Gas quality and its compromise for passion and good
work, required for the alteration of its industrialization plan.
We decided that the entry into production of the company’s principal
model of enduro had to be postponed, because what should have been
the definitive testing process of our technical specialists and pilots proved
that the efficiency and liability levels had not completely been achieved
with regard to the innovation degree aimed at. Despite the fact that the
evolution achieved during the last years by cartridge air filtration systems
had lead Gas Gas to take a leap into the future with the aim to obtain the
best performance, a higher practicality and an improved ease of use, the
tests carried out in the most extreme conditions eventually detected that
the competitiveness of this risky innovation did not cover the highest
exigency levels we wanted to offer to our customers.
Given this situation, and in spite of the inconveniences that this caused
both from a financial and industrial point of view, from Gas Gas we
decided to back down and sacrifice the economic results with the aim to
fulfil what we found much more important: that passion, compromise, team
work and faithfulness that have always united us with the whole family that
makes up our trademark. It is the entire team, from the technical research
staff to the final customers, including pilots, distributors, importers,
suppliers and the company’s personnel, whom we want to thank for their
endeavour and the cooperation shown during the last weeks in an adverse
situation that, on the other hand, can only reassert our conviction for the
future: to learn from our own mistakes in order the grow better in every
step we take.
Aware of the inconveniences that the final restructuring process of the EC
250 and 300 has caused to all the commercial structure of Gas Gas, we
can only express once again our most sincere thanks for your
understanding, while we ratify our wish that, following to the thorough
redesign of the model’s airbox, its features will match the expectations and
trust that the trademark’s users have placed in us for years.
