Raga finishes third and Sanz repeat victory in Andorra

25/06/2012
Adam's battle for victory was spectacular. Jorge Casales brushed the top spot among Junior.
The second day of Grand Prix Trial Andorra on Sunday saw a spectacular battle for the victory that ended with the top four riders separated by just five points at the end of the race. Among them was, of course, Adam Raga, who managed an excellent third place that it could have been a victory. The first part of the trial ended with Toni Bou as the leader, followed closely by Albert Cabestany, Jeroni Fajardo and Adam Raga. However, everything took an unexpected turn in the second lap with Adam pressing until the end and Bou under considerable pressure. Thus, the victory ended in the hands of 'Cabes', with 10 points, against 13 Fajardo and 14 of the Gas Gas leader. Outside the podium, Bou took 15 points. Michael Brown returned to offer a good performance and was seventh, while Pere Grattarola Borrellas and Matteo fought for the ninth and tenth, finishing in this order.

In female category, Laia Sanz proved that his victory on Saturday will be the keynote of the year and won clearly. After the 6 points of the Gas Gas rider was a nice battle for second place decanted to another pilot of the brand, the young Sandra Gomez (Madrid), who tied at 25 points with the British Rebekah Cook, third, having taken much more time to cover the areas. Jorge Gallego Casales fought another day for the win in Junior. This time the main rival of Gas Gas was Dagnicourt Benoit, who won after scoring 2 points compared to 8 of 11, of Casales and Jack Sheppard respectively

Laia Sanz

"The second day went very well. We drove well and everything went great. In fact, I am especially pleased with the whole weekend, as these last months have been very intense for me and I did not know how would we find our rivals. Finally we could start with two wins and it is clear that the balance of the Grand Prix could not be better. "

Adam Raga

"Overall I'm very happy how was the weekend. In the 2nd round I was leading until I made a mistake and lost the lead."
