The second day of the Grand Prix of Chile has been a true battle of titans. From the outset in the first enduro special test where Thain already marked his intentions by achieving the second fastest time. From that moment has begun a struggle to get the three top positions. The French Gas Gas rider has demonstrated his good riding with a one on one fight with the favorites. At the end of the second round he was poised to achieve the second finishing position, but on the last pass in the enduro test another rider held him back and prevented a better registration, which ultimately placed him in a credible third place.

RODRIG THAIN
"I am very happy with my result today, for all but a few seconds we have been in second place, but we achieved the first podium of the season, so we are on pace for the top positions. It is the result of work with the factory and the team. Now we have to think about the race next week in Argentina"

The junior category is the one that has been the talk this weekend, with the high levels shown by the young riders. With Saturday Danny McCanney getting a solid second position, on the final day everything was complicated early on. Not 15 minutes of the race had elapsed when McCanney suffered a blow with a tree in the rally stretch in the Cerro la Virgen Forest, causing a hard fall, which left him stunned. However, the Isle of Man rider, asserting the characteristics of a champion, has finished the whole race with a lot of effort to get the highest score possible and points for the championship, finishing in the top 5.

DANNY MCCANNEY
"It has been a very hard and difficult for me, after the fall I did not feel well and had no rhythm, but knew I had to continue in order to score points in general, as my opponents would exploit this situation. I will take advantage to rest before heading to Argentina and reach the maximum level at San Juan"

The Chilean Diego Rojas, going from low to high, marking an evolution in each of the stages. To highlight his performance in the Cross test where the Chilean rider from the GasGas School of Champions, shown his potential with some great times that aroused the crowd by seeing their local fellow riding the Gas Gas. Finally, Rojas managed to position himself as the best Chilean in the category in the thirteenth position.

DIEGO 'TORO' ROJAS
"For me it was a great weekend to ride in the first round of the championship in my country. and with my heat. The work done in the School is helping me develop in my riding, to go approaching the pace of European riders
