Double win for the Gas Gas riders in Andorra

15/06/2013
Great results for the Gas Gas riders on day one of the World Trial Championship event in Sant Julia de Loria, Andorra with Adam Raga winning another great victory that has confirmed his first place standing in the World Cup, and Jorge Casales has also won the Junior category and takes the lead in that championship series.

A long, hard and intense Trial was prepared by the Andorran Motorcyclist Federation in Sant Julia de Loria where the excellent physical condition of the Gas Gas riders has been beneficial. Adam Raga who started after Toni Bou has been able to control the race thanks to his good performance, has achieved another victory which confirms his top level and his leading position in the championship. Despite some minor mistakes that could have insured greater peace in the second lap, Adam was already confirmed in first place after the first passage through the 18 zones. In the second lap, after a magnificent display by the rider, there has been no doubt; victory for the Gas Gas rider with only 4 additional penalty points and the fastest time for the day. Other Gas Gas riders in the World Championship, the Italian Matteo Grattarola in eight, Frenchman Loris Gubian in ninth, Spaniard Pere Borrellas in eleventh, and Britt Michael Brown fourteenth, still recovering from his knee injury

Victory and leadership also in the Junior
Also in the Junior category there has been a race with a lot of tension from the start, where the score were very close, but the technique of the Galician from the Gas Gas School of Champions has been above the rest, winning the run-off in the second lap with a clearly excellent performance. Gas Gas rider Fransec Moret has joined him on the podium.

Adam Raga:
"I am very pleased with this victory because it has not been easy. In the first round, Toni (Bou) was riding very strong but had a lot of pressure because I was behind him. But I’ve known what to do to get it right. I have been decisive in the zones when I had to be and got a big win. Winning three in a row is not easy. I feel good physically and I want to thank the team for the great work in race preparation. It was a plus".

Jorge Casales:
"It was a tough race from start to finish. On the first lap I made two mistakes that transformed into fiascos that evened the scores. In the second round, it was going well, but I thought I was only four points ahead before the last zone. I entered it, got pinched and made another fiasco. Until I arrived at the paddock, I didn’t know I had won!"
