Victory for Jordi Viladoms and Gas Gas in the Serres Rally

Jordi Viladoms has scored his first victory in an international Rally race with the Gas Gas bike after dominated the competition from the first day.
The Serres Rally, held from the 26th to the 31st of August in and around the Greek town of Serres, in the north of the country, celebrated the overall victory of Jordi Viladoms in the race, this second round of the European Cross Country Rally Raid and the Rally Pro Series.

The Gas Gas rider set the pace for this test from the beginning, winning the prologue and the first stage, and then administered this advantage over his main rivals, some of them who compete in the Dakar Rally.

The competition has been tougher than expected by all riders, with routes demanding both riding and navigational skills. In every segment, participants have spent more than six hours to complete the entire course. Undoubtedly, this was a great way to prepare for the season of raids, in which the Dakar Rally will be the highlight for the Gas Gas rider. Before participating in the world's toughest test, Viladoms will take part in other races, including the first round of the Raids championship of Spain and the Merzouga Rally.

Jordi Viladoms
Both the prologue and the first day of the race went well and I made a significant difference which has been perfect for the remaining stages. The second day I had a small crash and I ran out of gas and lost time, fortunately, not much. The fourth day I won again and the held the lead in the interim, I've ridden this last day to avoid mistakes, more relaxed, and I knew I could win the race, which for me was a surprise, because I thought it would be an easy rally, a good workout, but I've found a rally that was super-hard, with very tiresome specials. A technical and navigation race, it has been the most complex test of the season. I am therefore very pleased with this victory.
I felt good on the bike, I have several races and miles aboard the Gas Gas and I feel good. I have good feelings and this is good preparation for the Dakar. It was good to accumulate all these hours of training"
