09/10/2013
They have ended the International Six Days Enduro of Sardinia, held throughout this past week with an excellent balance for the Gas Gas brand. Not only have they managed, through one of their riders, an absolute victory, but also has placed Gas Gas riders on the podium in Junior and Female.
After a week of tough competition in the mythical-ISDE International Six Days Enduro, held on the island of Sardinia, was a successful conclusion for the Spanish Gas Gas brand. One rider for the brand, Rodrig Thain has actively contributed to the French team achieving victory in the senior-Trophy-, beating other teams from day one, ending with the United States and Italy on the final podium.

In the Junior category, another Gas Gas rider, and prominent member of the Gas Gas School of Champions, British rider Danny McCanney has finished on the podium, finishing third behind the French and Italian teams . McCanney rode his Gas Gas EC300 Factory Replica at a great pace, always managing to finish in the top of his category. Other members of the Girona school, Chileans Esteban Lanz and Diego Rojas also contributed to a milestone for Chile: getting the best results ever for their country, finishing in seventh place at the end of the Six Days.

Successful in the Feminine category were the Swedes, Jessica Jonsson and Sanna Bergman who also are Gas Gas riders, ending in the second position. Jonsson led her team and even set the fastest time among girls on some days.

Positive Balance

For Gas Gas, it has been a tough six days of competition, where the Gas Gas Factory Pons Team has worked hard to get all the bikes of the brand to the end of this historic Enduro of Nations event. This demanding test of endurance, which was joined by the harsh weather conditions of sun and the heat, resulted in the course being extremely dusty in many of the special tests, forcing them to work hard to find the most reliable performance for the Gas Gas engines. Oriol Pons, official team leader of the Gas Gas Factory Pons Team declared that he was "very pleased with the end result. Not only because our riders have won several podium finishes, but because all Gas Gas bikes have finished without mechanical mishaps. That means that Gas Gas has proven their reliability in a race as special and as hard as the Six Days Enduro ".

The next test of the official Gas Gas Factory Pons Team is the last round of the Spanish Enduro Championship to be held in Valls de Torroella on the 2nd and 3rd of November.
