Danny McCanney concludes his stage with Gas Gas

The Isle of Man rider closes these past two seasons of competing at the highest position in the structure of Official Gas Gas that opened the doors to the enduro World Championship.
The last round of the Spanish Enduro Championship in Valls de Torruella this past weekend has put an end to the contractual relationship between Danny McCanney and Gas Gas Motos. The two sides are detaching amicably after two years in which McCanney has become one of the most coveted drivers in the paddock and one of the greatest in the World of Enduro. The rider from the Isle of Man, who debuted in the hands of the Girona brand, had became the spearhead of the Gas Gas School of Champions Project, which aims at training young enduro riders (and trial) at the highest level.

When Danny was 19 years old and inexperienced in international races, Gas Gas and the Great Britain importer, decided to go for the talented McCanney, who immediately responded with his particular riding style and professionalism. The results were immediate when last year he finished third in Junior in the FIM Enduro World Championship. But undoubtedly his greatest achievement came just months later when he won the world championship in the same category Superenduro at the handlebars of his Gas Gas EC 300 Racing.

The 2013 season concludes with his third place ranking in the WEC, a podium with Britain in the ISDE in Sardinia, and sub-champion In the Spanish National Enduro Championship in the E3 category. Gas Gas wishes him every success in the future.
