Arnau Farré is within a hair’s breadth of winning the European Trial Championship after his magnificent performance at the Bilstain Trial Championship (Belgium). The Gas Gas rider climbed onto the second step of the podium on Saturday and was up there ahead of the best on Sunday. An excellent computation has catapulted the young rider from Lerida up to the first position of the classification with only one event left to go on 6th August at Lazzate (Italy).

Arnau Farré is now in the lead in the European Trial Championship after an excellent weekend in Belgium, where the young rider, trained in the Gas Gas School of Champions, got himself into second place on the first day and won a great victory on the second. These two excellent results have made it possible for him to take over the lead.

With only one event to go before the final of the European Trial Championship, in Lazzate (Italy), on 6th August, the rider from Vilanova de Segrià was 30 points ahead of his nearest rivals. In Bilstain, Farré demonstrated yet again that he is on great form riding the new TXT 300 Racing, the Gas Gas bike he uses to compete.

Jack Peace, reigning champion in the Junior category of the European Championship, followed close on the heels of his teammate from the Gas Gas Trial Factory Team. The young British rider, now riding a Gas Gas TXT 250 Racing climbed onto the third step of the podium on Saturday and finished fourth on Sunday. As soon as he had finished he was off like the clappers to Fort William, to compete for the first time –just the next day -, in the SSDT 2017, the most prestigious long length international event.
